Read this article for a couple of very plausible scenarios. The most interesting thing would of course be a tie of Electoral votes, throwing the election to the House of Representatives. The funny part of that is all of the citizens of the country that will scream bloody murder about this being "illegal" and about someone "stealing" the election. Kinda like last time but on a national scale.
