MSNBC - Bush rules out tax hike to fund Social Security
Damn right. The suggestion turned down was th raise the limit on income you pay social security taxes on from 88k this year to 133k. Now, if you have never made 88k in your life (lots of folks) and never expect to (people that don't understand the American system, PETA members, Michael Moore fans that aren't celebritys.) then you don't know the joy that is hitting the limit and seeing the extra maney, your money, that you have earned, back in your check where it belongs.
Social Security is a good idea which is poorly implemented. Its time to put the responsibility for peoples retirement back into the hands of the people.

I concur, thankyou Mr. President for not raising our taxes to pay for a defunct "insurance" policy that I do not even want to pareticipate in.
