So basically there are people out there worried that the US will get some credit for helping these poor people hurt in the tsunami.
The US is responsible for 40% of the aid GIVEN in the world. The UN wants the credit for it (and also to skim a little off the top based on past behaviour). Without the US the UN is merely a coalition of the clueless.

What a bunch of whiny bastards!!! For them to say theu (the UN) are the only ones with the "moral authority" is absolutely incredulous. The UN hasn't had a moral anything since they put LIBYA in charge of the human rights (c)ommision. No wonder the left loves them so much. They both have the same capacity for the denial of logic and lack comprehension....maybe Michael Savage is right....liberalism IS a mental disease.
