MSNBC - Sharpton proposes ban on rappers
Stunned. Thats what I am. I guess he moved on from the KFC kerfluffle. He's right to a point on this. You can't really deny someone airplay if they are associated with violence. Thats censorship. What you can do however, is to initiate a change within the community, where these black stations themselves, and their advertisers refuse to support that kind of behaviour.
Of course, some of the eecs at the record companies that sponsor rappers are as bad if not worse than the "talent" they force on the youth.
But eventually they would straighten up. Cause they can't get by without their bling.
