Indiana executes convicted rapist, murderer

Indiana executes convicted rapist, murderer - Crime & Punishment - MSNBC.com: "Our hope is to bring awareness to the atrocities of executions, said the Rev. Tom Mischler of St. Mary of the Lake in Gary."

Here's a test...now pay attention...

Here is what one of the death penalty protesters said:

"“Our hope is to bring awareness to the atrocities of executions,” said the Rev. Tom Mischler of St. Mary of the Lake in Gary."

Here is what the scumbag did:

"He was convicted of holding 18-year-old Delores Wells of Terre Haute captive for 12 days before killing her on Feb. 17, 1987.

Benefiel also held Alicia Elmore of Terre Haute captive for four months in the same house and raped her more than 60 times. She survived and testified against him."

So really, there were atrocities committed. One was the monster's crimes agains these two women. The other atrocity was that it took the courts 20 years to rid the world of him.

I think the reverand and I disagree on the definition of atrocity.

What part about freedom not being free does the press not get? Who was it that said "we will pay any price..."?

Man Arrested For Spitting On Jane Fonda

local6.com - Entertainment - Police: Man Arrested For Spitting On Jane Fonda

For providing aid and comfort to the enemy, having tobaccco juice spit in her face is letting her off lightly. How many times have you looked back through history and wanted to confront a true villain? This guy did it.

And there were probably ALOT of high fives at the VFW...

Mall Won't Allow Teens Without Parents

My Way News

Good move here. Mall rats have turned into mall thugs recently, and in addition to hurting business, these thugs create an environment of hostility and fear among law abiding shoppers.

The real secret to happiness: higher taxes - Ross Gittins - www.theage.com.au

The real secret to happiness: higher taxes - Ross Gittins - www.theage.com.au

Socialist lunatics.

"And yet our incomes keep growing in real terms year after year. What are we to do with the extra money? I believe the richer we get, the more of our income we devote to our pursuit of status, to buying "positional goods" - goods that, as well as doing whatever they are supposed to do, also demonstrate our position in the pecking order: flash homes in good suburbs, late-model European cars, kids attending private schools and everyone dressed in the most fashionable way."

People like this miss the point entirely. Most people work as hard as they can to better their life, not for the status it brings, but for the quality of life it affords us to live.

Socialists want to be the arbiter as to what kind of life we should live, what we need to live it, so they can decide, for us, what to do with the remainder.

I work as hard as I do so that one day I will not have to, when my children are grown, and self supportive, I expect to live a live free of the stress of work so that I can enjoy the fruits of my labor, status be damned.

The arrogance and elitism of the socialist mindset is truly astounding and ultimately dangerous for the world economy as a whole. If the sole purpose of higher taxes is to discourage work, what does that say about the entitlement programs and wealth redistribution programs that those taxes fund?

Guy breaks into his ex girlfriends apt and hits her in the stomach to cause a miscarriage. Per the article:

"As a result of the attack, detectives said, the woman suffered a miscarriage of her 10-week-old fetus."

One of the charges brought against him was murder. How is this murder, but the left says abortion is not?

Great story! We are defeating the insurgency in Iraq, because they are comprised of cowards that kill women and children and run from real soldiers. They will die in the street, as they deserve. The only suggestion I would like to see implemented is that we dip our bullets in pig blood.

DHS May Resume Airlifting Mexican Illegals Back Home

CQ.com

I support this 100%. Instead of flying them to their hometown, my suggestion is to fly them to South America. They already speak the language, and they need cheap labor there as well.

Chinese begin to worry U.S. militarily: printer friendly version

Chinese begin to worry U.S. militarily: printer friendly version

Begin to worry? China is THE biggest threat to world peace in history. There are too many potential targets (Japan, Taiwan, etc) that depend on US defence.

Just a matter of time.

Yahoo! News - Florida eyes allowing residents to open fire whenever they see threat

Yahoo! News - Florida eyes allowing residents to open fire whenever they see threat

I'm pretty sure the law doesn't say "open fire whenever you want to". Liberal media at it again.

All in all though, not a bad thing, keep Florida's crime down even further. Liberals can't stand it when ordinary citizens are given the right to defend themselves. Not just gonna be a right in Florida it seems, but backed by law.

MSNBC - Parents to teachers: No more red pencils

MSNBC - Parents to teachers: No more red pencils

The problems facing our public school are so large. Lack of discipline, diversity promotions, lack of values being taught.

This is the story that makes the "news". Red pencil corrections are too stressful. Here are some other stressfull things these kids have to look forward to:

1.) Driving a car
2.) Getting into College
3.) Graduating College without turning into a liberal
4.) COMPETING for a job after college.
5.) Social pressures (dating, drugs, drinking, etc)
6.) Marriage
7.) Kids (clothes, food, drugs, etc)
8.) Health problems (your's and your familiys)
9.) Supporting your family
10.) Keeping your job

The list goes on...the imagined relevance of the color of the pencil used to grade your schoolwork is amazing. The papers should be corrected in NEON. Flashing neon.

Another reason to homeschool. My family does. We grade in red.

Koran scholar: US will cease to exist in 2007

Jerusalem Post | Breaking News from Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish World

Once I quit laughing, a thought occurred to me. The article says:

"The study, which has caught the attention of millions of Muslims worldwide, is based on in-depth interpretations of various verses in the Koran. It predicts that the US will be hit by a tsunami larger than that which recently struck southeast Asia."

So when this doesn't happen, which it won't, can we assume that the Koran is untrue?

OR

When this doesn't happen, can we assume that the "scholars" that interpret the Koran to fit their anti-US agenda are idiots.

I say we all agree to both.
