MSNBC - Parents to teachers: No more red pencilsThe problems facing our public school are so large. Lack of discipline, diversity promotions, lack of values being taught.
This is the story that makes the "news". Red pencil corrections are too stressful. Here are some other stressfull things these kids have to look forward to:
1.) Driving a car
2.) Getting into College
3.) Graduating College without turning into a liberal
4.) COMPETING for a job after college.
5.) Social pressures (dating, drugs, drinking, etc)
6.) Marriage
7.) Kids (clothes, food, drugs, etc)
8.) Health problems (your's and your familiys)
9.) Supporting your family
10.) Keeping your job
The list goes on...the imagined relevance of the color of the pencil used to grade your schoolwork is amazing. The papers should be corrected in NEON. Flashing neon.
Another reason to homeschool. My family does. We grade in red.
